Early Childhood Education

The Fowler Elementary School District provides a range of early childhood education programs designed to support the growth and development of young children. These programs include Early Head Start, Head Start, and the Developmental Preschool. Each program is tailored to address the unique needs of every child, ensuring both social and academic development within a nurturing environment.

Developmental Preschool

The Developmental Preschool is a specialized program tailored for children ages three to five years who have identified special needs. This program delivers individualized education programs (IEPs) and related services, ensuring that each child receives the specific support required for their social, cognitive, and self-help development. The focus is on nurturing children within caring and supportive environments, enabling them to thrive and reach their full potential.

Head Start Preschool

Why Head Start?
Head Start promotes school readiness for three- to five-year-old children of low-income families. It offers educational, nutritional, health, social, and other services. Head Start programs promote school readiness to enrolled children and their families by enhancing children’s social and cognitive development through providing educational, health, nutritional, social, and other services.

Early Head Start
Early Head Start (EHS) supports infants, toddlers, pregnant women, and their families. EHS programs enhance children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development; assist pregnant women in accessing comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care; support parents’ efforts to fulfill their parental roles; and help parents achieve self-sufficiency. Together, Head Start and Early Head Start have served tens of millions of low-income children and their families.
