Transportation
Safety is first. Our Transportation Department utilizes electronic location and video monitoring to ensure the safety of our students as well as provide consistent, reliable service. We plan bus routes using an advanced electronic system to provide the most efficient use of resources.
Bus Procedures & Expectations
Riding the bus is a privilege, and we consider it an extension of the students’ classroom.
Identification & Boarding
- Student IDs are required.
- Students must scan on and off the bus.
- Upon boarding, students should quickly take their seats and remain seated.
Personal Belongings
- Place backpacks, lunch bags, and coats on your lap or on the floor in front of you.
- Personal items must not be placed in the aisle.
Windows
- Windows must remain closed unless the driver gives permission to open them.
- Keep your hands and all objects inside the bus at all times.
- Do not throw anything out of the windows.
Cleanliness
- Take all trash with you when exiting the bus.
- Dispose of trash in a container outside the bus.
Behavior
- Keep your hands to yourself.
- Do not touch other students or any bus equipment, including emergency exits or controls, except in an emergency.
- Use school-appropriate language at all times.
Noise Level
- Speak quietly, only using an “indoor voice.”
- Do not speak to the driver while the bus is in motion.
Food & Drinks
- No eating or drinking is permitted on the bus.
- Plastic water bottles are allowed.
