Title I, under the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), provides financial assistance to local educational agencies to meet the needs of educationally disadvantaged children at preschool, elementary, and secondary school levels.
The purpose of Title I is to help all children achieve the state’s academic standards. We accomplish this through supplemental programs that consist of instructional services, instructional support services, school-wide reform efforts, and increased involvement of parents in their children’s education.
We provide high quality, research-based education in the least restrictive environment to enable all students to be successful to the maximum of their potential.
English Language Learners
We identify students as English language learners (ELL) if English is not the first learned language or primary language spoken at home. Students receive special instruction to help achieve comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing competence in the English language. Our goal is to enable students to maintain grade level status and help them to meet graduation standards.
