Food and Nutrition

The school food service program is an essential part of the complete educational program. Based on the belief that a well-nourished student is better prepared to receive the instruction of the school day, the Food and Nutrition Department plays a necessary role in each school’s educational team. Our goal is to help children develop healthy, lifelong habits necessary to promote health and learning.

Meal Prices

We provide nutritious meals at affordable prices. We accept payments online via My School Bucks—payment for school lunches is just click of a button away.

Student Meal Pricing
Breakfast: Free
Lunch: $1.60
Reduced Lunch: $0.40

Adult Meal Pricing
Breakfast: $1.75
Lunch: $2.85

National School Lunch Program & School Breakfast Program

Fowler Elementary School District participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP). These programs allow us to offer qualifying students nutritious meals at minimal or no cost. Families may apply for the programs by submitting a Household Income Application. Apply online, download an application, or request one from your child’s school. We accept applications throughout the school year.

Southwest Foodservice Excellence

FESD contracts with Southwest Foodservice Excellence, LLC to enhance your children’s quality of life through fresh and wholesome food, a strong focus on nutrition, and unparalleled customer service.

Southwest Foodservice Excellence is now accepting applications for employment for cafe workers at our school sites. If you have any questions about the position please contact Food Services at (623) 707.2060.
